Wine Tastings and Annual Crush

Open to the Public Tastings

Every Saturday the winery has an open house and tasting from 11 AM till 6PM.

During harvest (Sept/Oct), guests are welcome to join in the activities help with crush operations which include Crushing, Pressing, Bottling and taste trials.

Private Tastings

Private Tastings are available on request for groups from 4 to 50.

Throughout the Private Tasting guests will be giving winemaking, tasting and philosophies by the Winemaker Brian Vitek and Cellar Master Brent Wells. Private Tastings will be customized to the guests' desires and range from mellow conversations to intense wine discussions. Prices will vary.

Annual Crush Party and Grape Stomp

In late September, under the dark cover of a midnight sky and coastal mists, our procurement team departs from Carlsbad, California, heading north to the Allegresse Vineyards located in Paso Robles, California. They arrive at the Vineyard as sunrise bathes the surrounding rolling hills of dry grassland and oak woodland. Volunteer pickers are briefed on proceedure, and harvest of the grapes begins.

Once three tons of grapes are harvested, the team departs on its return to Carlsbad. The festival's gathering of participants starts around 2pm, awaiting with excited patience for the grapes arrival, scheduled within the hour. When the grapes arrive, a fraction of the harvest is portioned into stomping bins, whereupon the participants trample the grapes in a ritualistic, bare-footed dance.
